Doughnuts And Decapitation: A Lovely Combination

I’m on my way to the doughnut shop for a little treat that will most likely consist of two chocolate doughnuts and one sugar. It all depends on what’s available when I get there.

In more exciting news:
Irony, once again, has been bestowed upon me in the form of a decapitated Marie Antoinette statue.

can you say ironic?

Some might call it “ironic”, but really it should have just been expected, right? All in a matter of time? Doomed, perhaps?

FREE PILO

Artist Nic Rodriguez (PILO) was recently arrested for suspected vandalism. The case has been getting a lot of local press for many reasons which I can’t get into at the moment. Nic is a friend and featured artist in the “Urban Escapades” show in my gallery, so in an effort to help him out with his legal defense fees we are planning a fundraiser. We’re still working out all the details, but we will be releasing items online as we make them. So, let’s get this party started!

The “FREE PILO” button pack.

click the photo to purchase or visit www.claassengallery.bigcartel.com.

All profits from the sale of these will go towards helping Nic’s legal defense.

We have a lot of other ideas in the works that we hope to have available real soon including “PILO GRAB BAGS” which will delight any PILO fan with a plethora of items like t-shirts, buttons, stickers, prints, small original paintings/drawings, etc. And eventually a live event will be hosted, probably in the gallery, but we have a lot of planning to do before that happens.

Don’t worry, we’ll keep you posted.

I am proud to say that I now sell Montana Spray Paint and On The Run Markers in the gallery. Two fifty-two pound boxes arrived this morning.

Urban Escapades Update #3

Here are two more artists from the “Urban Escapades” show.

STENZSKULL

David Bond

*sidenote – I accidently ate onions (yes, accidently) and now I stink. The thing is, the “secret sauce” on the hamburger was so tasty that I didn’t realize I was eating onions until the very last bite.

Urban Escapades Update

I have updated the shop with some of the artwork from the Urban Escapes show. I’m working hard to get all the work available online, but for now I have paintings by the following artists.

Nic Rodriguez

DELAE

Ryan Richmond

Brian Christopher

I will be working today and late tonight on getting all the other artists online, so please check back. And if you’re in the San Luis Obispo area come by the gallery to check out all the work in person.
The address is 1118 Morro St. MAP

new little painting

I’m calling this one “Want Some Dinner”. I’m not sure why. It may have something to do with being hungry when I came up with the title. Anyway, it’s spray paint and india ink on an 8″ x 10″ paper. You can click the photo for some additional photos or to purchase.

a tiny little update

The opening of “Urban Escapades” was awesome. I have a lot to say about it, but I am tired and have been working hard to get all the artwork from the show online. It might take a few days. I just wanted to let you all know that I am still alive and still living on cereal, ice cream, mac n’ cheese, and bagels. Here is a photo of some dude hitting up the “tag wall” at the opening.
