30 Days By Train – A Lomo Adventure By Misha Ashton

My friend Misha is embarking on a journey and would greatly appreciate your help. Her project is called “Adventures In Lomo” and this particular adventure is a 30 day cross country trip by train hitting Chicago, Boston, New York, Washinton DC and then heading back home to Portland. She will document her entire adventure with her Lomo LV-A+ camera.

Let’s Spoon!
It’s new goodie time! I just released a new limited edition print called “Let’s Spoon”. This is my first ever full on digital art piece. I made it using “Sketchbook Pro” on the iPad. It’s a small edition of 25, signed and numbered on the back.

“Let’s Spoon”
5.5″ x 7.5″ – limited edition print on wood
$50, plus shipping
Visit my etsy shop for more photos and to purchase.
Also, I added some more prints to the etsy shop today. Right now everything I have available on etsy is in stock and ready to ship.
As always, thanks for looking!
Owl Tattoo
Ashley has entered the ranks of the “biggest fan” category by putting my art permanently on her body.

Here’s the original painting with my little owl dude. Big ups to Danny Derrick from Sink Or Swim in Grover Beach, CA for his amazing perfection. Take a look at how he even got the wood grain from the original into the tattoo. It looks identical. I’m super impressed!
I’d like to send a big thanks to Ashley, for the support and to Danny for his flawless execution. And what the hell, how about to the whole crew at Sink Or Swim. Thanks, all!
As always, if you want to get a tattoo of my work I fully encourage it. I literally have 100′s of images to choose from. Check out my sold artwork and available artwork sets on flickr.

Etsy Update – Switchin It Up

I just did some counting. Like the “1…2…3…” kind of counting. As it turns out I now have 52 limited edition prints on wood. Because I make them as they sell and the resin coating I use takes three days to fully harden I don’t always have all 52 available.

I’ve decided to update my etsy shop so that all the ones I have in stock and ready to ship will be the only ones available to purchase online. This will speed up delivery. I’ve always been a speedy shipper, but there have been a few times where I couldn’t ship prints until three days after they were purchased. Folks, I am happy to say, those days are no longer!

Of the 52 prints I make on wood I have 16 available at the moment. I’m working hard to get them all online. If there is one you’re looking for that’s not on etsy let me know and I’ll get to it as soon as possible. Check out my flickr set to see all the prints on wood that I make. At the moment there are only a few missing from that set. Well, it now looks like I’ve got some flickr updating to do today. The internet is a fun place.
We Come In Peace

“We Come In Peace”

This is one of my latest original paintings. I finished it just in time to display for my book release party last month and totally forgot to blog about it. I hope you enjoy it.

SALE Art Books! Totally On The Cheap!

Seriously, all these books are super awesome. And I’m not just saying that. I’ve kept copies for myself to add to my own personal collection. Anyway, it’s time to get rid of them and make space in the gallery for new products. Woohoo!
All of these are now priced at half off the cover price, which is anywhere between $8-$30.

Authorized MTN Dealer!
This is probably long overdue. I made a flickr set dedicated strictly to all the MTN products I sell in my gallery. Check it out! There are even color charts to help you out with your special orders.

Sharpie Paint Pens Are Awesome

If you use paint pens there is a good chance you have Deco-Colors. If that’s the case than you have probably ruined a few of your drawings because at some point all Deco Colors (at least the ones I’ve had) have a leaky explosion. Thankfully, Sharipe, the brand you know and love, has come out with these awesome paint pens. No messy explosions here and check out all those fun colors!
