Over the years I’ve collected a bunch of these boards and it’s time they find a new home, so I have decided to auction them off. This is the fourth board in the series.
To place your bid you need to be a fan of The Claassen Gallery on Facebook. Click here to “like” our page.
Once you like the fan page head on over to the auction page and place your bid in the comments.

After a little scare this past weekend Coral has been confined to the bed. Her doctor is allowing her only 30 minutes on her feet a day. Needless to say, homegirl is bummed. I, of course, would look at the situation as an opportunity. Do you have any idea how good I could get at Angry Birds or Touchgrind if I had two months of bed rest? I’d be a freaking pro! Or maybe I’d write a novel…about my struggle with bed rest and how, from my deepest despair came my greatest strength. My greatest strength, naturally, being a professional Angry Birds player.
My mom, ever the smartie, found a loophole to this bed rest thing. A wheelchair!
We consulted with the doctor and he gave us the go ahead, but strongly advised her to not wheel herself around. Well, lucky for us, we have two very eager volunteers.
Yesterday was our first day with the wheelchair and Coral was very happy to get out of the house and enjoy the nice weather. This morning, however, she thinks she might have overdone it and is committed to staying in bed and taking it easy today.
In other news, I’m having a blast with Easter Angry Birds!
This set of drawings is from Sketchbook #4, which I drew in from August 1998 – April 1999. As you can see these are from a phase I went through in which I would fill every empty space. I still do that to this day on some of my pieces. It’s always been hard for me to leave empty space. That’s probably why I’m such a pack rat.
I was also going through some sort of perversion phase. Look again. On close inspection you’ll find all sorts of dirty stuff going on.

I just came across this awesome product and would bet money that every spray paint enthusiast would want one of these. I already sent an email to the company to see if I could be a retailer. It would be super awesome to have these available in the gallery. The thing is it’s big and from The Netherlands, so shipping is probably a bitch.

With my recent acquisition of a camera I have been madly obsessed with photography. I’ve taken hundreds of photos already. And deleted hundreds. I’ve scrolled through so many photos on Flickr and blogs it would make your eyes bleed. It would be hard for anybody to obsessively look at photography without coming across The Sartorialist at some point. Today I found this video about the man behind it and thought it was super awesome to see him at work doing his thing.
