Hand Painted Shoes For My Little Man And Now Taking Commissions

shoes for elliott

That’s right, Elliott rocks the fresh kicks!

After all of these years and I’ve never painted shoes before. Elliott seems to like them. When he’s not wearing them he’s eating them and I think that says a lot about how much he likes something.

If you want to get some shoes custom painted let me know. With all the size and color options out there you’ll have to provide the shoes. You get the best results with cotton canvas. You know, shoes like Vans, Converse, Toms, Ben Simon, Keds, etc.

Prices start at $30. That will get you something similar to what Elliott is wearing.

OK, so that’s the deal. Let’s make your feet happy!
Drop your shoes off at the gallery and get some custom kicks!

A Brief Interlude #61 Up For Auction

A Brief Interlude - up for auction

This edition is so close to selling out that I’m getting anxious to find homes for the last remaining copies. This is number 61 out of 100. There are actually only 6 copies left, but they’ve been sold out of order.

I drew a little character on the inside back cover so the winning bidder will get something a little more unique than just a book. There are some other goodies included in the auction as well. There is a photo of the drawing on the listing. If you want to check it out or place a bid please visit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/130633855295.

Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close

I’d say “Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close” was my most favorite book I read in all of 2011. When I’m in between books (because I’ve become a super picky book reader over the last couple of years) I find myself rereading parts of “Extremely Loud.”

At Costco the other day I noticed the book with a new cover. It was a movie poster book cover. I didn’t even know a movie of this book was coming out, so I was very excited.

The trailer doesn’t seem to show any scenes with the grandma though, so I hope she wasn’t cut out of the movie because she was kind of a big deal in the book.

At the end of the trailer it says “December”, but I think the actual release date is January 20, 2011.

Evy’s Got The Fever

I’m beginning to think letting Evelyn get an instagram account might have been a mistake.

Dolores Park Hipsters by Patrick Lawler

Patrick Lawler has the magic to make any situation fun. This slow motion film of Dolores Park Hipsters is no exception. I’ve never wanted to jump into a sea of hipsters more than I do now. Way to go, Pat. You hit another one out of the park.

My favorite parts: the hula hoop, the dude pouring that horrid Pabst Blue Ribbon down his throat, and of course, Pat eating a Sponge Bob popsicle.
