Tomokazu Matsuyama, or Matzu MP, as he has formerly been referred, was born in Tokyo, Japan but has lived in Los Angeles, London and the Brooklyn neighborhood of Williamsburg. After gaining an audience with his large canvas paintings and public works seen on the streets of Brooklyn, Matsuyama turned his focus to his fine art paintings. As his work progressed, the artist incorporated more and more Eastern elements mixed with elaborate patterns, warmer color, unique blends, or creatures and humans living amongst classic, Disney-esque backgrounds. This is Matsuyama's first book collection. 96 pages, hardcover.
