Something Is Wrong With This Picture

There are two things wrong with this picture. Before I get to that…

something is wrong with this picture

You know those people that can not wear mismatched socks? There are also those people that can not eat the heel of a loaf of bread. Well, I am not one of those people. Call me crazy. As a matter of fact, I would have no problem whatsoever doing both at the same time. Like I said, crazy. Really living on the edge. Anyway, today I found myself in a situation where I was proudly able to do both things…kind of. Instead of mismatched socks I had mismatched bread. Somehow (I blame the kids), we ended up with two heels from two different loaves of bread. After all these years subsisting on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I can’t recall ever using two different types of bread for one sandwich. Why would I? And not just that, but two different heels, c’mon! And guess what? The sandwich tasted just as good as any of the 10,000 other PB & J’s that have made their way into my mouth. Not that I am bothered by the lack of matching bread on my sandwich or using the heel for my sandwich, but a restaurant wouldn’t serve it that way, so it falls into the “wrong” category.

The second thing that is wrong with this picture is that I am totally out of Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter. Using “traditional” peanut butter is so 2012. I don’t know what this house is coming to, but I have learned something. If I can find a loaf of bread that is ALL heel there is a good chance I won’t ever have to share my bread with anybody.
