Hello, Everybody!

Society 6 recently launched Wall Clocks to their list of awesome artsy items. So, I now have a lot of my images available as a clock. I’ve already been asked questions about them so I figured it’s time to post a blog about these clocks to clear some things up.

First off, Society 6 is a third party site that manufactures and ships all the products from their facility. What that means is that even though it’s products with my images I never actually see the products myself. I have nothing to do with making them, shipping them, or any of the customer service. It’s great from the artist/designer standpoint because it’s nice to not have to deal with all of that. My images are licensed to Society 6 and I receive a royalty for any sales. Ok, now about the clocks.

This menu is easily missed for some reason and a lot of people are thrown off because with some of the default images (picked by society 6) the color of the hands sometimes blends in with the artwork, which isn’t a good thing. You want to see the hands, so it’s nice to pick a contrasting color. Also, the frame of the clock doesn’t always match so it’s good to choose an alternate option. For example, check out the “Lovesick Sea Creatures” clock with different options.

Personally, I think “Lovesick Sea Creatures” needs to have white hands. For me, the black or white frame looks great, so I think that’s a personal preference. The black hands blend in with the image too much and I don’t think the wood frame works well with the black, white, pink color scheme.

Each clock is available in natural wood, black or white frames. They are 10″ diameter featuring a high-impact plexiglass crystal face and a backside hook for easy hanging. You can choose black or white hands to match your wall clock frame and art design choice. The clock sits 1.75″ deep and requires 1 AA battery (not included).
