Lots Of Claassen Artwork At Fiona Bleu In Morro Bay

If you’re in or around Morro Bay I highly suggest you check out Fiona Bleu Gallery. They have more of my artwork available than I have in my studio. A few days ago I dropped off a few more things, so they now have about 45 pieces of mine for sale. A pretty good mix of originals and prints. And of course, they have a lot of other cool art to check out. As you can see, Elliott is a big fan. Did you notice that little rug under us is made out of old fire hoses. My partner in crime, Neal Breton even has a few pieces from his ice cream truck series available.

Fiona Bleu is located at:
900 Embarcadero
Morro Bay CA

Hours: 10am-6pm everyday.

Happy gallery stomping!

Art Vlog #1: Hidden Opportunities…In The Bathroom

Go easy on me…I hate being in front of a camera. For some reason I am determined to overcome my awkwardness. I’m not sure why, but I feel it’s something I should learn to do. And learning is good. At least that’s what I’ve been told. Anyway…

I’ve been in this art game for awhile and although I’m not on the cover of Art Forum, High Fructose or Juxtapoz and I’m not represented by Jeffrey Deitch, Mary Boone, Tony Shafrazi or Larry Gagosian I am still making a living at this and have learned a thing or two. Because of that I get asked a lot of questions by young artists that are getting started.

When I got the idea to start vlogging on youtube I asked myself, “What are the go-to stories I find myself repeating to young artists?” and this story about being the “Bathroom Artist” is one of them.

If you watched the whole video the story actually goes further because I’ve gotten my work into another gallery because of being in the Morro Bay gallery. Anyway, it’s cliche, but opportunities are everywhere and you never know until you try.

If you liked this video and want to see more please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel. And if you have any questions to ask please leave a comment. It might be one of my future vlog topics.

Thanks!

Test Out MTN, Krink, Grog And Other Goodies At The Claassen Gallery

It’s been a long time coming, but I finally installed a nice testing area in the gallery.

Tester Wall

Already, the wall no longer looks like this. It’s getting covered quite nicely.

Tester Wall

If you have trouble making a choice or are hesitant to buy a marker you’re unfamiliar with now you can test any of them out…Krink, OTR, Pilot, Sakura, whatever. If we sell it you can test it.

Finally try out that Astro Cap before you buy it. Or any cap for that matter. Also, see for yourself just how runny and watered down Krylon and Rustoleum are in a side by side comparison with the original Spanish Montana Spray Paint. It’s no contest, so come by the gallery and see for yourself.

August 2010 Window Display

Check out the awesome window painting by Coral. And she claims to not be an artist. I don’t know who she’s trying to fool.

Gallery Walkthrough – June 12, 2010

Porn For Window Shoppers, Kind Of

If my statistics are accurate then it’s safe to say that I am starting to build up a decent readership on here. Great! Now the pressure is on to post consistently. For all of you that have not been able to make it to the gallery here is a little walkthrough I did yesterday. It should give you an idea of what’s going on in my shop. I easily have over fifty art pieces on display and almost all of my art supplies are fully stocked at the moment. Oh yeah, I don’t remember who gave me this song, but I found it while scrolling through my itunes library and the only information available on it was “Track 06”, which was really no help at all. I am under the impression it’s a local SLO band because they mention bubble gum alley and deep dark. Anyway, the song is awesome and I hope you think so too. And if any of you know the band please let me know who they are. If you’re in the band and you gave me this song I apologize for not remembering. Enjoy!
