Care to see some really poor quality photos from Bike Happening? I know you do. I almost feel like apologizing, but not really. I mean, I paid about $50 for my phone and got a $40 rebate. Anyway…

I, like a lot of bike nerds out there, love the first Thursday of the month. Here’s what went down tonight.

Bike afficinado’s gather in Mission Plaza at 9:30pm. We ride through town and end up in the Bank Of America parking lot.

On this particular night some people set up a checker board dance floor. I’ve participated in this Bike Happening about six times and this was the first time I’ve seen this impromptu dance party.

Naturally, no dance party is complete without Spiderman. Seriously, this photo is worth way more than a 1,000 words. Out of the list of words that could be used to tell the story of this picture the following would be on the top of my list: panties over tights with leg warmers, spiderman and hippies.

And I totally rode next to a Teletubby!

Once again, another fun Bike Happening.

I hope to see some of you out for the first Thursday in March.

Not too keen on the $57 price tag, but they’re the nicest straps for bmx pedals I’ve come across so far that aren’t made in Europe.

Note to self: find ways to get sponsored. I mean, don’t companies want to promote their products by having some artsy nerd in California putting their goods to use. One (me, in particular) would think so.

Still need to get that Jamba Juice sponsorship too.
