I don’t get to walk around Downtown SLO as often as I used to, but a few weeks ago I was there early in the morning and was sad to see that Fosters Freeze, home of the best soft serve ice cream, was no longer. I had heard it was closing, but totally forgot about it because, contrary to popular belief, I do more than just walk around town eating tasty ice cream.

When something that’s been around for 65 years closes up shop it’s really weird to see it gone. But, let’s not waste time being nostalgic. Let’s just hope that a Tommy’s Burger takes over the space. Oh, how I love Tommy’s. It used to one of my favorite places to go late at night when I lived in Pasadena, but thinking about that is heading down the Road Of Nostalgia too, so I’ll just stop now and think about all the tasty burgers and ice cream my future holds.

Yum, I can hardly wait.
