Live Work Love Podcast One Year Anniversary

Coral and I started our podcast, Live Work Love, one year ago on International Podcast Day. Tomorrow will be our 1 year anniversary, so we recorded a short episode this morning and I’m editing it today so it will hopefully be up tomorrow. If you’ve ever tossed around the idea that you want to have a podcast there is no time like the present, so get off your ass and do it. We have 3 very demanding kids and own a shop that’s open 62 hours a week (not including all the after hours work like painting my pretty pictures) and we’ve managed to put out, on average, 1 episode a month. We’ve recorded every episode on my iPhone so if you think you need fancy recording equipment, you don’t. It did take some digging around to learn how to get the thing on iTunes, but it’s nothing you can’t figure out in an afternoon. Or like me, at 3 in the morning. Anyway…

We’re excited to have a year of podcasting under our belts and are thankful for all of you that have listened to our rambling nonsense.

If you haven’t listened to our rambling nonsense, but are curious, you can start binge listening now on iTunes.

If you’re anti-apple you can download or stream all the episodes at

We’re editing episode 12 today, so it will hopefully be up and ready to download tomorrow.

Live Work Love Podcast: Retail Rant

Listen on iTunes:
Listen on my site:
Or use one of the gazillion other places that feature podcasts. Anyway…

Welcome to Episode 10: RETAIL RANT! Jeff and Coral sit down for a late night discussion about how Jeff needs to find “his style”, bad yelp reviews, loving customers while wanting to fire other customers, the infamous barf bouquet and other unsavory things that go down on the Viva Paso bench. If you’ve ever owned or worked in a retail shop you can certainly relate and if you haven’t this might give you a little taste of what working retail is like.

BONUS: Coral loses her marbles (she was drinking rosé) and offers a freebie to listeners, so be sure to keep your ears open for that.

We don’t ask for much, but if you enjoy this episode please rate it and if you’re feeling really generous write a review. We’ve been told that both things help in the iTunes rankings and being a couple of nobody’s we need all the help we can get!

If you have any questions or topics you’d like us to discuss please let us know.

Thanks for listening!

Live Work Love Episode 8: Coral Goes To The Women’s March

I know, I know…this is old news news at this point, but I forgot to post about it when it was hot off the press. In case you missed it back in January you can hear it now.

Listen on iTunes

Listen on my site

You’d have to be dead or living under a rock to not know about the Women’s March that took place on January 21, 2017, the day after the U.S. Presidential Inauguration. We are lucky enough to live close to a town that hosted one of the 100’s of marches that took place around the globe and this episode is Coral’s account of her experience marching in solidarity with more people than she ever thought possible. We hope you enjoy it.

Don’t forget to subscribe on iTunes so you can catch upcoming episodes. Also, we’d be super stoked if you leave a review on iTunes. It helps out in the search rankings….and our egos. And, of course, we would just love to hear what you think.

Thanks for listening!

Live Work Love Episode 7: Sex Dust, 2016 Pop Culture Re-Cap, And Celebrity Deaths

During the first moments of 2017 Coral and Jeff have a discussion about what went down in 2016 pop culture, despite the fact that they are completely out of touch with “pop culture”. There is also some talk about celebrity deaths, the New Year’s Day tradition of the Polar Bear Dip and how Jeff got roofied with a new age hippie powder called “Sex Dust”.

Enjoy the ride!

Live Work Love Episode 6: We’re Still Alive…Sort Of

This episode was uploaded near the end of December after going almost 2 months without posting any new episodes. We were totally swamped with Viva work because of all the holiday shopping, so the podcast got put on the back burner. In a rare moment of Coral and I being in the car at the same with no kids we decided to use the opportunity to record this quick update. Enjoy!

You can also download or stream it directly from my site.

If you do listen from iTunes you can subscribe so you don’t miss out on future episodes AND if you leave a review that would be super awesome. It helps out in the search rankings.

Live Work Love Episode 5: Originality Vs. Playing It Safe

In this episode Coral and I discuss Instagram, Facebook, and my extreme awkwardness in front of a camera. Coral also admits that she thought Instagram was strictly a photo editing app the first 10 months she was using it with no idea that people could see the photos she was posting. Hopefully, we say something that might leave you with an idea or two about your own social media/marketing efforts.

Be sure to subscribe and leave a review on iTunes. It helps Live Work Love get noticed in the iTunes store. And it gives our egos a little boost.

Live Work Love Episode 4: An Interview With Neal & Katherine

In this episode Coral and I sit down for an intimate chat with creative couple, Neal Breton (a painter) and Katherine Cochrun (a nurse). The two have been living, working, and loving together since 2012 and are the perfect pair for our first interview on Live Work Love. If you’d like to get involved in this discussion please leave a comment here or send us a DM on our Instagram account, @vivapaso.

Download or stream this episode on iTunes.
And if you are anti-Apple for some reason check it out on Soundcloud.

Happy listening!

Live Work Love Episode 2: Who? What? Why?

I’ve really been lagging on blog posts for awhile. Viva Paso has been quite demanding and has been a HUGE priority. Anyway, back in October Coral and I started a podcast, which is something she’s wanted to do for years. We just launched our 7th epsisode, but I’m backtracking a bit here to help you catch up in case you don’t follow me on Facebook or Twitter.

This is our second episode, in which we explain who we are, what we’re doing and why we’re doing it. It turns out there about 25 billion places to listen to podcasts. iTunes is pretty much the go to place, so you can stream or download Episode 2 at:

And for those of you that are anti-Apple, you can stream or download directly from my site at:

If you enjoy these random discussions let us know. It would be fun to get some interaction going. If you listen on iTunes please leave a nice review or give it some stars (like 5 of them). The more stars the better. We also encourage you to subscribe so you don’t miss out on future episodes. Please feel free to ask us questions and we’ll eventually include a Q&A in an upcoming episode.

Happy listening!

The Live Work Love Podcast Is Here!

Podcast editing essentials: Adobe Audition, headphones, two chocolate donuts and a large Thai iced tea.
Location: SLODOCO

Coral has been dreaming about hosting a podcast since 2014. I finally jumped onboard with the idea and now “Live Work Love” is a real life thing in this world. It’s not “real” in the sense that you can touch it. You know, because it’s all digital and stuff, but you can certainly watch it grow just like a gaggle of sea monkey’s in an old mason jar.

What happened was this. A friend from high school posted a poll on Facebook, “Is sexting cheating?” I found myself thinking about it all day long, composing a lengthy response in my head that I never got around to writing. When I told Coral about it we decided that should be our first podcast. And alas, it was.

Oh yeah, I found out that “International Podcast Day” was on Sept. 30, so that gave us a deadline. We “officially” launched on Sept. 30 with two episodes and it totally blew up on iTunes.

Just kidding, iTunes doesn’t provide any solid stats to the publishers, so we have no idea, but we like to imagine that it totally blew up all over social media.

Anyway, give it a listen. You can stream it or download it on iTunes at

And if you are so inclined, we would love some feedback. Please leave us a review on iTunes or at least give us a 5 star rating. Yes, I’m totally asking for 5 stars. No shame.

Oh, and if you’re anti iTunes, like by buddy Neal, you can stream or download the episodes at

Thanks for reading (and listening).
