Old School Art Revisted

Here are a couple of old school drawings (circa 2004) resurrected from the depths of my storage bin. From time to time I happen upon old drawings on loose paper and sometimes, like an old toy, it’s fun to dust them off and play with them for a bit. Some of these drawings I come across get brought back to life by being mounted on a wood panel and then get coated in a clear glossy resin. Then I put them out into the world at dirt cheap prices. Like this…

Let’s Talk About Shirts

I love t-shirts, but who doesn’t? Nobody, that’s who. In case you don’t look at my etsy shop every single day (which you should be doing), I thought I would tell you about the shirts I have available. There are only two designs at the moment, so this won’t be a very long post.

This first one is called “Let’s Kick It”.

As of this very second I only have 5 left in women’s. Size large and xl are available right here.

For the men I still have 8 in stock in small, large and xl, which can be purchased right here.

The second shirt is to help keep our gallery/studio alive. That’s right, the Fiasco shirt!

This is available as a unisex shirt in sizes medium, large and xl. The Fiasco shirt is available right here.

As of now that’s all I have in the way of shirts, so if you are tired of walking around topless feel free to cover your bare chest with one of these beauties.

Pretty Sneaky. Better Not Turn Your Back.

These two paintings have been sitting around for about three months. They weren’t quite finished, so I had them stored in a shoe box during our move. Like a hidden treasure I found them buried in the garage under a pile of trash bags filled with clothes that we haven’t unpacked yet. Here’s the first one.

I’m calling it “Pretty Sneaky” because, let’s face it, that dude looks quite mischievous.
It’s $65, plus shipping and is available online at:
www.etsy.com/listing/162184273/original-pretty-sneaky

This next one I thought was hilarious because it turned out looking like a blue Jabba The Hutt with an afro.

I’m calling it “Turn Your Back” because that’s what he wants you to do so that he can rob you. You can’t trust an afro wearing Jabba The Hutt. I don’t care how strong the force is with you.
It’s $65, plus shipping and is available online at:

Let’s Skank With Tim Armstrong

“Let’s Skank”
6″ x 6″ – mixed media on wood, signed on the back.
$65, plus shipping

This guy unintentionally ended up looking like Tim Armstrong to me, from Operation Ivy and Rancid fame, which should explain the title, “Let’s Skank”.

According to Urban Dicitonary:
“Skanking” – The bizarre, wild dance done to the music known as Ska. Not to be confused with a, “skank” skanking resembles running in place while flailing your arms. While popular at Ska shows, it is more acceptable at other mixed venues to simply join the mosh. Unskilled skankers are sometimes mistaken for seizure victims.

This is a one of a kind original painting on pine wood. The edges have been painted black and the surface has been coated with a thick layer of clear plastic resin. The resin coating provides a protective high gloss finish. It basically looks like a yummy piece of shiny candy.

Wire has been attached to the back so this is ready to hang right out of the package.
To purchase please order online.

Happy Skankin’!

A Poet, A Bird And One That Eats Coyote

Just finished a mini series of 3 paintings. They are all approximately 4″ x 4″. And here they are…

“Poet Laureate”
$30, plus shipping
order here

“I’m Beaked”
$30, plus shipping
order here

“I Eat Coyote”
$30, plus shipping
order here

The term “series” is used loosely here. In this case it basically means I used the same colors for all three pieces, so they match each other. If I really wanted to nerd out I could make up a story to tie the three paintings together. Something like…

The poet befriended a man that eats coyotes and together they went bird hunting. The coyote eater showed the snobby poet the beauty and pleasure of hunting your own prey to feed your family with. And you know, it really says a lot about American society and how the majority of people are too lazy to befriend others face to face and that we prefer buying cooked chickens at Costco as opposed of shooting down birds on our own for dinner. Something like that.
